The tone of the girl’s voice broke her heart— well, if she had one. However, Carmilla was never good at these things. She was never good at comforting someone, or talking in general. She was always quiet and stayed in the background. The thought of the new vampire being so distraught and fearful of the situation was kind of unsettling. She tried to think back to when she was turned. She was afraid, but she didn’t remember how afraid she was. It was all new. The world was seen in a brand new light that she had never thought about in life. She wondered if the other saw it that way.
“Ava… That’s a pretty name. Where did you come from? I haven’t seen you around the campus before… You look entirely too young to be attending college, anyway.”
♚ ;; ava opened her mouth to answer, but found that no words came out. she honestly did not know how or why she was at the college ( she didn’t even like education all that much ) and it honestly hurt a little to think about it. almost as if her own mind was repressing her from thinking about it ( the thought of her mind keeping her own memories from her sounded bizarre ). so instead of thinking why she was there, she simply tried to remember the last thing she could and– maggie. maggie had been the last person she had been with, and she could recall P A I N. she couldn’t blame maggie though, the way she had treated the other when they were younger was terrible. she felt something catch in her throat as she spoke.
’ i live not too far from here– actually im kind of in walking distance… the last thing i can remember is being with my… friend( she cringes saying the word friend ) maggie. ’
