blake froze, back pressing against the wall. she had an A D V A N T A G E, almost blending in with the shadows themselves. she blinked, amber pools glancing to her companion as the footsteps headed by. she could hear them even after they left the young girl’s earshot, and she only budged once she was sure they weren’t coming back. rough, callused palms rubbed themselves together as she glanced out of the doorway, making sure the coast was clear.
‘ alright, but.. how are we to get off of this planet? i don’t have a ship, nor does it look like we’ll be able to take one, either.. ‘
along with how tight security was, it almost looked impossible for them to even take a step out of the building. she looked back at ava, trembling fingers curled around the doorknob.
‘ we at least need to come up with a PLAN, if nothing else. ‘
her face was glowing slightly as the footsteps passed, obviously being from f e a r and p a n i c. with one hand, she rubbed her temples, a grim frown formed on her lips. she leaned against the wall, sliding down it into a sitting position as she thought of potentially just WHAT they could do. she was exhausted, from the usage of that WRETCHED potion wrathia had ordered her to do ( though, the after feeling of DESTROYING felt miraculous despite it being so, so painful. taking it had been painful at first, but it hadn’t been long before she l o s t herself and let wrathia take over. )
’ i-i think (?) i have an idea… it-it’s risky but i think it might work… ’ she spoke, inhaling a deep breath as she prepared to explain in a hushed tone. ’ so, TITAN soldiers right now are currently evacuating a lot of the followers on this planet… so basically we just need to find some way to sneak on. we-we could steal someone’s id card or whatever and use it if they ask who we are… ’
she mumbled the words, which felt foreign on her lips. even without knowledge of this TITAN, he sounded bad. a brow raised, the other lowering as she had a puzzled look, the person in question never having been uttered to her before then. she had only known of the fang, which was the only thing she had lived for so long. she decided that asking would be a good idea, at least to get some information on him.
’ i don’t. would you care to enlighten me? ‘
♚ ;; ’ from what wr–… what i’ve heard, he’s a very manipulative man. a majority of his followers have all been BRAINWASHED, and he took the previous rulers’ empire… the one we are in right now, of course. he desires to make EVERYONE his follower, and those who don’t comply are either brainwashed too, or KILLED. and– ‘
the young girl promptly cut herself of as she heard passing footsteps outside. she held her breath, palms becoming sweaty with anticipation once again. her back pressed closer to the wall and she squeezed her eyes shut, begging for the A N X I E T Y to go away. and just like that, they passed, and she stayed with her eyes closed for a few moments, before crimson hues revealed themselves. she took a deep breath.
she spoke softly, glancing out a window. her chest gently rose and fell, before she glanced back towards the other, muscles relaxing as the yelling faded into the distance. she didn’t know who that was, but at least her and ava were safe. for now. she was unsure if the mystery people were going to catch on and return this way. if they did, she would at least need to be prepared for a fight. she wasn’t sure if ava would be, though.
‘ —— who was after you? ‘
♚ ;; ’ it was– ’
she sucked in a breath. she didn’t know whether or not she could fullyT R U S T blake yet. but if the other was honestly a follower of TITAN, she certainly did not look the part. her brow furrowed, crimson orbs glancing at her savior. she couldn’t do anything else– she was just saved by this woman, she deserved the truth at least. besides, she was alone (besides for the girl before her) as her companions had a b a n d o n e d her - at least, that’s how it felt.
she took the girl’s hand into her own, heading away from the sound of yelling—- she was rather thankful that running away was her talent at the time, otherwise this would have been difficult, for both her and ava.
she ducked into a building, pressing her back against the wall as she released her weak grip on her.
♚ ;; she spoke n o words, and instead nodded and followed silently. ava held her breath as the yelling grew closer, and her heart rate picked up once again. fiery red orbs were wide with fear, skin glowing yellow like L A V A. she was terrified. but she was safe now– at least for the moment as the yelling passed. the young girl released the breath.
’ th-thank you, ’ she finally said after a few moments of silence, ’ my– i’m ᴀ ᴠ ᴀ. ’
she stumbled backwards when someone had run directly into her, the state of urgency getting her to pull out gambol shroud. blake didn’t exactly know what was going on, but with how afraid this person seemed, it must have been fairly bad. she was just hoping it wasn’t another breach in the wall.
her eyes showed pure f e a r in them. the woman before her looked ready to fight for her, to defend her– wrathia wasn’t speaking to her; the ravenette was the only chance she had of actually making out of this a l i v e.
’ p-pp-ple-please h-hhide m-me, ’ she spoke in a hushed but shaking voice as she heard yelling from a bit away.
she yelled, running frantically around the streets. her skin glowed a f i e r y red, eyes an odd orange. turning the corner, she ran right into someone– immediately p a n i c bubbling in her stomach. ava hoped to the s t a r s that this person wasn’t a TITAN follower.
